Rashtriya Uchchalar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) is a centrally Sponsored Scheme, launched in 2013 and operates in mission mode for funding the state government universities and colleges to achieve the aim of equity, access excellence.

Under RUSA component, upgradation of existing colleges to model degree colleges, SCD Government College was sanctioned Rs. 4 crores. The total funds released till date is Rs 3,16, 67000. The following projects have been completed under funds from RUSA

1. Construction of 6 classrooms under RUSA Block
2. Air conditioning of auditorium
3. Repair and maintenance of hockey ground
4. Drainage under hockey ground
5. Installation of virtual classroom including interactive board, e podium
6. Installation of Solar Power Plant
7. New equipments purchased for labs and library
8. Construction of Guru Gobind Singh RUSA seminar room and administrative room
9. Installation of four smart panels, laptops
10. Repair of roofs of girls hostel
11. Installation of iron grills in RUSA Block and Chemistry Department.
