The Department of Music was started in 1998. In the Youth Festival, Music department plays a significant role in engaging students in creative, artistic and cultural activities. Students participate in various items and win many prizes. We teach Sitar that is in our university syllabus. We have Tabla, Harmonium, Tanpura, Dilruba, Patti-Tarang, Dholki, Daff, Manjira and Sitar instruments in our departments. Students can seek jobs in schools as a music teacher. They can work in a Gurudwara as a kirtan jatha or as a coach, as a composer, as an accompanist.
