Political science is the study of politics and power from domestic, international, and comparative perspectives. It entails understanding political ideas, ideologies, institutions, policies, processes, and behaviour, as well as groups, classes, government, diplomacy, law, strategy, and war. The department of political science at SCD Govt. College was established in 1920 with the beginning of the college. The department has five sanctioned posts. The department is successfully working with the hard work of eminent professors, and the students of political science have gained various achievements in different fields of society, politics, bureaucracy, etc.
